The My Thuan Bridge project, along with its approach roads at both ends, will connect the Trung Luong – My Thuan and My Thuan – Can Tho expressways, creating a complete transportation network for the Mekong Delta region.
The My Thuan 2 Bridge is designed as a fan-shaped cable-stayed bridge, with two cable planes spaced 18.6 meters apart. The two cable towers form an H-shape and reach a height of 123.5 meters. The bridge deck is approximately 23 meters wide, accommodating 4 lanes for motor vehicles and 2 pedestrian sidewalks.
My Thuan 2 Bridge serves as a vital connection linking expressways from Can Tho to Ho Chi Minh City. This linkage acts as a catalyst, serving as a springboard for comprehensive development in the Mekong Delta region, particularly benefiting Vĩnh Long province. It opens up new opportunities and contributes to completing the infrastructure network for trade and transportation.
