Ho Chi Minh City Project

Ho Chi Minh City Project
Date Submitted: 1 năm

Over the years, Ho Chi Minh City has spent billions of dong on numerous development projects, turning its gateways into massive construction zones. This has caused serious traffic congestion in several areas due to construction-related barricades. However, by the end of this year, many major projects are expected to be completed and put into operation, which will help ease traffic flow and contribute to the decentralization of urban areas from the city center.

Among the ongoing projects, the overpass at the intersection of Truong Son Street and Hong Ha Street in Tan Binh District (in front of Tan Son Nhat Airport) is considered the most urgent. This Y-shaped concrete overpass features one branch leading to the international terminal, stretching 303 meters, and another branch leading to the domestic terminal, stretching 153 meters. With a total investment of VND 242 billion, construction began on February 8, 2017 and is expected to be completed within 6 to 8 months.

Ho Chi Minh City has poured thousands of billions of dong into projects such as upgrading and expanding Nguyen Duy Trinh Street to 30 meters, completing the Ring Road No. 2, relocating the Eastern Bus Station to District 9 by the end of 2017, building the parallel road along the HCMC – Long Thanh – Dau Giay Expressway, constructing the Cat Lai Bridge connecting District 9 with Nhon Trach (Dong Nai), and developing the Thu Thiem – Long Thanh monorail line, among others.
