The Yen Xa Wastewater Treatment Plant Project (located in Thinh Liet Commune, Thanh Tri District, Hanoi) officially commenced construction in October 2016. Covering a total area of 13.8 hectares, the project has a total investment of over VND 16,000 billion. It is one of Hanoi’s largest and most urgent infrastructure projects in the field of wastewater treatment.
With a treatment capacity of 270,000 m³ of wastewater per day, the Yen Xa Wastewater Treatment Plant project is expected to help revive the To Lich, Lu, Set Rivers, and part of the Nhue River. Once operational, the facility will also contribute to treating a portion of the domestic wastewater from the districts of Đong Đa, Ba Đinh, Tay Ho, Cau Giay, Ha Đong, Hai Ba Trung, and Thanh Tri District.
