Long Thanh International Airport (official name: Long Thanh International Airport), located about 40 km east of Ho Chi Minh City. The airport is being built on an area of 5,000 hectares with a total estimated investment of about VND 336,630 billion. With a capacity of up to 100 million passengers per year upon completion of all three phases, it will be the largest airport in Vietnam in the future. On January 5, 2021, the Long Thanh Airport project officially commenced Phase 1 construction and is expected to be inaugurated in 2026.
