The Ho Chi Minh City – Long Thanh – Dau Giay Expressway, also known as the Long Thanh – Dau Giay Expressway, began construction in 2009 and was completed in 2015, with a total length of 55.7 km. The project was invested with a total capital of over VND 20,630 billion, funded through loans from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and ODA loans from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
This is a section of the North-South Expressway, connecting Ho Chi Minh City and Dau Giay. This expressway will help increase the speed of goods transportation between the two regions in particular, and the entire country in general, by reducing travel time between the two areas from 2 hours to just 30–40 minutes.
The Long Thanh – Dau Giay Expressway has 4 traffic lanes and 2 emergency lanes, designed for vehicles to travel at a maximum speed of 120 km/h.
